You will find a welcoming environment. If this is your first meeting congratulations in choosing to join us. All of us have experienced our first meeting. We know what it is like. You might be nervous, or apprehensive. We are a friendly group open to all people regardless of race, religion, gender or orientation.

As a new group, founding members have been traveling out of town to attend in person meetings. This group was formed to answer the needs of those locally for a in person meeting for which traveling was not an option.

Some weeks there are few people, other weeks there are more but every week the people who do attend are serious about their recovery.

For those attending the in person meeting, when you arrive, don’t be surprised if you find a coffee pot, a cooler with water and or pop or other items.

Some weeks there will be homemade goodies, others you might find Tim bits.

These won’t always be there but if it is feel free to help yourself.

If somebody is celebrating a birthday or milestone, you might find they have brought in cake and or candles to celebrate so we can all celebrate with them.

We take recovery and the process of recovery serious but we celebrate life and the successes and victories of each other.

The meetings generally concentrate on the steps as laid out in the SAA Green Book.

Meeting Program

The general format of the meeting stays the same from week to week but the readings differ.

The Master script for the meeting can be found below and will be broadcast during the meeting

If there are newcomers, the group may split in two and one group continue the step work while the other does a mini Step One introduction for the new comer or, all the members may choose to stay with the new comer and attend the First Step meeting.

We have a booklet for the main script and then a separate booklet for the step study and mini step 1 meeting.

When newcomers are present, the newcomer intro script (aka First Step Introduction) will be used to help welcome and orientate newcomers.
