The money is used to pay for the room for the in person meetings, literature, internet and communications services as well as domain registration website hosting and email addresses plus the telephone line. As a group we also donate to the International Service Organization which co-ordinates and makes available the resources, assists fledgling groups financially as well as make sure those who are seeking help are able to find the groups. Most of us in the fellowship found the local group through the work of the ISO.

The 7th tradition allows us to remain independent and focused only on our primary purpose - to support ourselves and others in recovery.

As a group, addicts tend to be self and self absorbed and inwardly looking. The simplest and first unselfish act a addict can take is to donate to the fellowship. The act of giving is a selfless act with no expectation of personal gain other than the continued survival of the group.
